We did do a re-shoot as we found that we needed 2 scenes for conti-purposes. One scene was of the TV being switched off and the other was the clock..so, bedah and i went over to her home to re-shoot. Jean and Junming are doing the editing whereas bedah and i are taking care of the paperwork. During our second interim, yoke e said that it would be better if we gave colour treatment to our 2nd part of the video which would give the 'dreamy' or the 'fantasy' effect and she also noticed that some of our shots were out of focus and asked as to consider re-shooting em too. Overall, i think that it's gg on fine and that we will be able to finish it up soon...we still have the audio part to be done! oh yea, we did learn alot of things during editing frm each other.

Production Days...Shooting Day 5
(Hafiz's hse and Jean's hse)

FINALLY we shot my scene...went over to hafiz's hse to shot. We managed to get his mum to act as mine..She acted really well...seriously. it was v.good. Well, i had difficulties as i don't really like to act and yeap, i tried my best though. It was fun as i had to wear jean's SUPER high heels to walk down the stairs. I don't really wear high heels so i had difficulties doing so...There was one scene where Bedah and Hafiz had to throw clothes at me...IM SURE THEY HAD LOTS OF FUN DOING THAT...they even threw it on my face and as usual, i ended up laughing causing them to do a retake..haha. Jun ming had to leave coz he had some appt. So, Jean and I went over to Bedah's place to shoot her final scene where she had to act like she's in need of sleep...We tried using the interval to take her shot but it was difficult as jean and i had to put eyeshadow on bedah's eyes to show the gradual build up of her dark circles. But we had fun doing that..We had to race against time so that it would be just in time for the recording. THAT DIDNT WORK OUT..Soooooooo, we had to do it manually. We wrapped up the whole production there and we were done with filming!!!!
Next is, EDITING and sound engineering....hehehe

Production Days...

Well, suppose to take my scene today...most of them couldnt make it.and my mum had to go out...it's SUPER hard to get a mum for this scene.hah!soooo we postponed it to tmr together with Jean's club scene...we predict that we can/should start editing by TUES...We are taking my scene probably at Hafiz's place and get his mum to act as my mum...haha

Production Days...Shooting Day 4
(Temasek Polytechnic)

We had to continue Jean's scene at level 3 girl's toilet today...it was quite a quick one as there were only a few shots to be taken of jean washing her hands and saying her lines...We wanted a scene where we could see both her face and her reflection, but it was hard because we had to be careful not to see the rest of us in the reflection...However, we managed to take that scene...i certainly feel that we have improved Way Way much than our vid.pro...haha.We are planning to take my scene on sunday over at my place...

Production Days...Shooting Day 3
(Temasek Polytechnic)

Had to go to the GO office to get permission so that we could shoot Bedah's scene. Bad News: They said that we couldnt film in there...soooooooo we had to change our location for her scene. We decided to change the script a lil and filmed at level 4 outside the staff room instead. Bedah's makeup was SCARY..haha i think the people walking past her gt scared too...we took her running up the slope at level 3 and then the scene where she had to scream n roll over like a CRAZY WOMAN outside the staff rm. i also had to act in this scene as a student who scolds her and bedah grabs my leg and starts to scream..haha really funny and VERY exaggerated reactions...Well after that was done, we had to shoot Jean's scene in the girl's toilet.. i became the cameraman for her toilet scene..Woah, 3 of us were CRAMPED in the cubicle and it was stuffy...we dirited the toilet using crysnthemum (err..is that how u spell it?) tea and coke and we tore toilet papers and threw them on the floor..we took Many many scenes in the toilet...most of the scenes were taken using handheld camera instead of the tripod as there wasnt much space in the cubicle...the shots turned out pretty well..and it was fun filming too...Jean had to take off her pants for this scene but of course she was wearing shorts and her long cardigan...her expressions were really funny.after that, we had to clean up the toilet too..hah..we had to take her scene over and over again coz we ended up laughing...DRAMA sia...haha the next scene was taken in the level 3 toilet but we had to wrap up soon as it was getting late.oh yea, we tried diff. camera angles like making the scene very shaky while jean was screaminggggg inside the toilet to give it a better impact..so yeap, we will be continuing her scene tmr!

Production Days...Shooting Day 2
(Bedah's hse)

Went over to Bedah's hse today...suppose to film my scene and bedah's scene too...however, her mum left to work and so once again, couldnt film my part...it's like soooooo hard to get a mum for my scene...haha..and Jun Ming was sick, so our cameraman wasnt there...but we still managed to film bedah's part..We shot the scene where Bedah had to be seen rushing through her proj and she ends up snoring instead.We had so much of fun as her acting was super funny...but really gd..best actress what! hah...We also tried to do our own camera techniques after asking Jun Ming hw to go about doing it...we wanted to do interval shots and after asking him, we managed to do it...didnt know we could do such stuff with the camera...haha most of the shots taken was handheld but it wasnt shaky at all...Overall, we did a gd job on this scene

Production Days...Shooting Day 1
(Jean's hse and Hafiz's hse)

We finally had our shooting script done and planned to start shooting today. We had to film Jun Ming's part and Jean's part. We wanted to film my part but we couldnt get a mum for my scene. So, we postponed my part...

The 1st location we went to was to jean's home. The scene we shot was jean getting nagged by her mum after she got home drunk the previous night. Not only that, she had puked on her shirt too. So, she had just slept with the dirtied shirt the previous night. That explains why she has dried puke on her shirt. haha disgustinggg....it's cereal anyways...We managed to finish it quickly as we only had to do a few shots at her place.

The 2nd location we went to was Hafiz's place. We had to take Jun Ming's scene at the carpark near Hafiz's place. We also had to use his brand new bike! Wohooo...Spark..The scene was for Jun Ming to carress and molest Hafiz's bike. Jun Ming did a good job by acting to molest the bike. We made him do much exaggerated actions than in the script itself. This was to create a better impact on the audience so that they can understand what's happening better. We also learnt new camera techniques and we did bloopers too. It was a very fun day indeed.

1st Interim
We had our first interim today..went on quite well but still have loads more to be done..
our script was halfway done and we still weren't quite sure whether our wishes were strong enough for the video...
Yoke Ee gave us some advice on how to improve on our video and we discussed about it after that. We had to strengthen Ubaidah's and Jun Ming's wishes and we discussed on how to improve on them.
We finally agreed on how to improve on their wishes and completed the script too. We had to get the shooting script done by Monday so that we can begin to film. Most probably, we will start filming on monday.

Cheers =)

25th Feb 08
1st day of P2...We had to get into our groups and discuss on which fable we wanted to work on.
Went home and read through some of it, then came out with a few ideas. My group consists of Ubaidah, Jean, Jun Ming and myself.

26th Feb 08
Met up with group mates and discussed our ideas. We finally agreed to work on one of the quotes which was, "How sorry you would be if any of your wishes were granted". Our initial idea was to retell this tale by creating our own story. It was about a useless, kind of stupid boy who wished that he would pass his maths paper, get a popular girl as his girlfriend etc. Then he ends up arguing with his girlfriend and he wishes that she dies. After her death, he realises his mistake and he wishes for her to be alive again. But that doesn't happen, it cant be reversed.
After consulting Yoke E, we decided to change the story as we thought that it would be difficult to make the audience understand what we are trying to portray. Therefore, we came up with another idea. Each of us had to go home and think of 3 wishes.

27th Feb 08
We discussed about the 3 wishes and we chose one from each person and thought of the consequences too so that it would be easier for us to film and to convey the message to the audience.
Ubaidah- to make time pass by faster
Jaseemah- not to be the eldest child
Jean- not to puke after being drunk or not to have difficulties shitting in public toilets
Jun Ming- to have a driving license
By using these wishes, we thought of the consequences and came out with our story.
I found it to be rather interesting as it is going to be something which we all can relate to.
We also had to get our storyboard and script done by today as there's presentation tomorrow.

Final !
Rationale

Yeap, this is the piece without the masking liquid. I had to peel it off to give it the real “batik” effect. As you can see, the lines are kind of thick and while peeling the masking liquid off, some parts actually tore. Had to be real careful. Anyways, I have tried to bring out the effect of my art work by blending the colours which is of my style. I created the scenery with his batik designs and maintained my own style too. What caught my attention about this artist were his batik styles, he actually links them to traditional and cultural aspects of art. Therefore, I felt that the best way to fuse our styles together was to create a scenery with his batik designs.

Final- Part 1

Hey guys, this is the final piece with the masking liquid on. It's my first time using this liquid and i kinda had lots of difficulties as I did not have the right equipment. Anyways, this is the fusion of my style with the artist’s one. The other piece which I would be uploading is the one without the masking liquid.

2nd Development Stage

This is the 2nd piece i came out with. Its a really rough sketch. I also labelled where i would be showing my style. In this piece, i tried to show both our styles but it didn't seem quite right. However after the consultation with shirlyn, i realised that our styles didnt fuse quite well together, instead it looked like patch work. So, i needed to come out with another piece with these things in mind.

Cheers =)

1st Development Stage

This is the 1st piece i came out with. After the consultation with shirlyn, i learnt that this piece was more of the artist's style instead of mine. I agree to it too. There is practically nothing on landscape but this piece only emphasize on the batik designs. Therefore, i needed to come out with another piece which shows both my style and his style.

My Style

These are few of my works and as u can see, it is about landscape and scenery. I mostly do my art pieces in black and white. Not only that, i also like to use d smudging technique to bring out the effects of my drawings. As for the coloured piece, it is a scenery painting which i did using acrylic paint and i emphasized on the blending of the colours too.

Cheers =)

I decided to fuse my designs with his because his designs are different and unique. While mine is more to landscape and scenery, his is more to the traditional and cultural aspect of art which also links to the Art and Crafts movement. I feel that it would be a challenge for me to link both of our designs together however, it’s going to be interesting too.
